About Little Valley Farmlet
Little Valley is a tiny 5 acres (2 Hectares) on the edge of Tokoiti, near Milton in South Otago, New Zealand.
The Farmlet
The land
The farmlet sits under the coastal hills on the Tokomariro plains.Tokomariro means 'paddling through the swamp'. Long ago the swamps were drained and now the plains are green pasture from side to side and lapping up the hills. Patches of barley, wheat, turnips,and peas give it texture and the Tokomariro river meandors through it.
The farmlet is divided into five small and one very small paddock. It is crossed by two gulleys, one larger (the little valley) and one smaller.
